1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 Tbsp ground cinnamon

2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350ยฐF and position rack in the middle.

2-Prepare cinnamon sugar: Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon; set aside.

3-Make cream cheese filling: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth; add sugar, egg, and vanilla and beat just until combined.

4-Prepare baking pan: Spray a 9×13-inch pan with non-stick spray; sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on the bottom.

5-Layer first dough: Unroll one can of crescent dough, press seams to form a solid sheet, place into pan and press gently to edges.

6-Spread filling: Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough from edge to edge.

7-Top with second dough: Unroll second can of crescent dough, press seams, lay over filling, press gently, and seal edges with bottom dough.

8-Finish and bake: Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar on top (brush with melted butter first if desired); bake for about 30 minutes until light golden brown and center is set.
