πŸ” Transform simple ingredients into crowd-pleasing appetizers that combine savory ham, melted Swiss cheese, and sweet Hawaiian rolls in every bite
πŸ§€ Create the perfect party food with these warm, buttery sliders that are easy to make ahead and always disappear first at gatherings

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

– 1 package of Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls), sliced in half

– 340 grams (3/4 pound) cooked deli ham, thinly sliced

– 340 grams (3/4 pound) Swiss cheese, thinly sliced

– 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, melted

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

– 2 teaspoons dried minced onion

– 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

– 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

– 1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

Instructions

1-Making crack sliders is a fun and straightforward process that anyone can master. Begin by preheating your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and lining a 9×9 inch or 9×13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and cooking spray. This sets the stage for easy cleanup and even baking.

2-Next, take the package of Hawaiian sweet rolls and slice them in half horizontally, keeping the slab intact to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom layer in your prepared pan for a solid base.

3-Now, layer on half of the thinly sliced deli ham, followed by a layer of Swiss cheese, and then the remaining ham. Top it off with the upper slab of rolls to form the sliders.

4-Melt the unsalted butter and whisk in the Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, dried minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

5-Pour this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls, using a spatula to spread it out. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes so the flavors soak in.

6-Cover the pan with foil and bake for about 20 minutes until the cheese melts perfectly.

7-Remove the foil and bake uncovered for 3 to 5 more minutes for a slight crisp.

8-Finally, slice into individual sliders and serve them warm for the best taste.

Notes

πŸ§€ For extra flavor, try adding a thin layer of honey mustard or raspberry preserves between the ham and cheese
πŸ” Make these sliders ahead by assembling them the night before, covering tightly, and refrigerating – just add the butter mixture before baking
🌢️ Add a kick of spice by including a few slices of pickled jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the butter mixture
