🍗 A rich, velvety one-pan chicken dinner that goes from skillet to plate in just 30 minutes.
🧀 Loaded with fresh garlic and nutty Parmesan, this creamy sauce coats every bite of juicy pan-seared chicken perfectly.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced lengthwise into 4 thin cutlets

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons butter, divided

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)

1 cup heavy cream (full fat)

¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1-Prep the chicken: Slice each chicken breast into two even cutlets, season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2-Sear the chicken: Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, cook cutlets 3-4 minutes per side until golden and internal temp 160°F, rest to 165°F.

3-Build the sauce: In same skillet, add butter and flour, cook 1 minute. Add minced garlic, stir 30 seconds until fragrant.

4-Deglaze and thicken: Pour in chicken broth (or wine), whisk to dissolve flour and scrape up browned bits. Add heavy cream, simmer gently 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5-Melt the cheese: Remove skillet from heat, stir in grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.

6-Finish: Return chicken to pan, spoon sauce over top, rest 1 minute. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

🧀 Always grate Parmesan fresh from a block; pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that can make the sauce grainy.
🔥 Keep the cream at a gentle simmer after adding it; boiling vigorously can cause the sauce to curdle or separate.
🥡 Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of milk or broth to restore the sauce.
