๐Ÿช Thick, soft, and chewy bakery-style cookies loaded with gooey pools of milk chocolate chips in every bite.
โฑ๏ธ No dough chilling needed โ€” go from mixing bowl to warm, melty cookies in about 25 minutes.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 large cookies or 24 regular cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

3 cups all purpose flour

2 tsp. cornstarch

1 tsp. baking soda

1 1/4 tsp. salt

2 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 375ยฐF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-Cream butter and sugars: Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

3-Add eggs and vanilla: Add eggs and vanilla extract, then beat until well combined, scraping the bowl as needed.

4-Whisk dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.

5-Combine dry and wet: Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture gradually, mixing on low speed just until combined; do not overmix.

6-Fold in chocolate chips: Stir in milk chocolate chips by hand with a spatula until evenly distributed.

7-Scoop large cookies and bake: For large Crumbl-style cookies, scoop 1/3 cup dough per cookie onto the prepared sheet and bake 10-11 minutes.

8-Scoop regular cookies and bake: For regular-sized cookies, use a medium ice cream scoop and bake 8 minutes.

9-Bake and cool: Bake until edges are golden and centers are slightly firm but soft; do not overbake. Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

๐Ÿ’ก Pull cookies from the oven when centers look slightly underdone โ€” they will finish setting on the hot baking sheet and stay perfectly soft inside.
๐Ÿง‚ Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each dough ball before baking for that signature bakery look and balanced sweetness.
๐Ÿซ Press a few extra milk chocolate chips onto the tops of warm cookies right when they come out of the oven for picture-perfect results.
