Quick And Easy Homemade Scones I remember the first time I made scones on a rainy Saturday morning. The kitchen was quiet, the kettle was on, and I just wanted something warm and homemade without spending hours at the counter.

Ingredients

225 g self raising flour
50 g unsalted butter, diced and chilled
1 Pinch salt
1 tbsp caster sugar
150 ml milk

Instructions

1-Preheat oven to 200C/400F and line a: Preheat oven to 200C/400F and line a baking tray with paper
2-Sift flour, salt and sugar into large: Sift flour, salt and sugar into large bowl and gently rub in the butter with fingertips to make breadcrumb like mixture
3-Stir in the milk till you get: Stir in the milk till you get a workable dough and tip out on to floured surface
4-Roll out to 2-3cm (3/4″) thick and: Roll out to 2-3cm (3/4″) thick and cut into rounds, brush with a little milk to glaze them
5-Bake for 15 mins or until golden: Bake for 15 mins or until golden and cool on wire rack (makes approx 8)
